We watched Remarkably Bright Creatures on Netflix, and it was really good.
Sometimes, we become prisoners of ourselves, right?
When we are lonely, grieving, and hurting, we become so used to carrying everything alone that we forget there are still people who genuinely care for us too. We push them away because we don’t want to become a burden. We keep our thoughts locked inside because we convince ourselves that no one is truly listening.
Somewhere along the way, we forget how to live again.
And sometimes, without meaning to, we hurt the people who can see beyond the walls we built around ourselves.
When we lose someone we deeply love, a part of us dies too. Even if we continue to wake up, show up, and survive every day, there’s still a quiet grief living inside us.
But MAYBE healing starts the moment we allow ourselves to be seen again. The moment we stop surviving alone and let the people who love us stay. MAYBE life does not ask us to move on completely, only to keep living, little by little, until the light slowly finds its way back to us again.
Just my maybe tonight.
