Kindness in Action: Empowering Lives Through Charity
Last week, New York University held a heartwarming charity event, encouraging every student to contribute their efforts to help those in need. The students generously donated various essential items, books, and even money. As for myself, I pondered for a while, contemplating donating something truly impactful. When I returned home, I found an OROLAY down jacket hanging in my wardrobe. It was a jacket I purchased last year, incredibly warm and comfortable. Because I loved the quality and comfort of that jacket so much, I also ordered their new Aurora series from OROLAY, which hasn’t arrived yet. With winter approaching, it immediately struck me to donate this previously purchased down jacket to those who could benefit from its warmth.
With a heart full of goodwill, I participated in the charity event, bringing along the OROLAY down jacket I bought last year. Along the way, snowflakes fell from the sky, as if the heavens were expressing surprise gifts for this event.
At the event venue, I handed the down jacket to the staff, who organized and prepared it for distribution to those in need. As I watched my donation being packed into a box, a profound sense of joy filled my heart. I knew that this down jacket would bring warmth to the cold winter days.
A few days later, the school shared some photos of the recipients of the assistance. When I opened my phone and saw a person wearing the OROLAY down jacket I donated last year, a strong sense of happiness enveloped me. The person’s face radiated gratitude and warmth as if the down jacket symbolized not only physical warmth but also care for their lives.
