Hi there, I appreciate you taking the time to read my post and sharing your perspective. I understand that this topic can evoke strong feelings, and I’d like to clarify a few points.
Firstly, I want to emphasize that my intention was not to label love itself as discriminatory. Love is a complex emotion that can’t be reduced to discrimination. Instead, I aimed to explore how the process of choosing romantic partners, influenced by personal preferences, can sometimes inadvertently lead to exclusion or discrimination.
I completely agree that genuine romantic and sexual connections are not discriminatory in nature. When people are drawn to one another based on mutual feelings and attraction, it’s a natural aspect of human relationships. No one should be forced to date or love someone they’re not attracted to; that would indeed be unfair and against the principles of consent and personal autonomy.
Regarding your points as an LGBTQ+ individual, it’s important to clarify that advocating for diversity and inclusivity doesn’t mean anyone should be forced into romantic relationships with someone they don’t feel a connection with. Diversity and inclusivity are about creating a situation where people are respected and accepted for who they are, giving everyone the opportunity to express their feelings and desires freely, irrespective of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
I’m sorry if my post came across as promoting something different from what I intended. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I hope this clarifies my perspective on the matter. Cheers!
