VIETNAM 2D1N

MY SECOND OUT-OF-THE-COUNTRY TRIP (Post Covid-19)
Actually, this was a backpacking-type trip, after my graduation from College I decided to travel to 3 countries in just 7 days. My choice was Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand, but for some reason, I decided to change it to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand since these 3 countries are close to each other.
Vietnam was my entry point, I booked a one-way ticket to Vietnam. All my preparations were done online.
Vietnam is a Southeast Asian country known for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas, and bustling cities. Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the Củ Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers.
I arrived in Vietnam at 4 pm, I started my itinerary the next day. I stayed in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
Day 1:
- Ben Thanh Market
- War Remnants Museum
- Independence Palace
Ben Thanh Market during my visit was closing, and since I arrived at 4 pm, my only chance to visit the market was at night. They have money exchanges, souvenir shops, and stalls for food.
Day 2:
- Notre Dame Cathedral
- Ho Chi Minh Museum
- Saigon Central Post Office
- Ho Chi Minh City Opera House
- People’s Community Building
- Tao Dan Park
- Nguyen Hue walking street Saigon
You can rent a motorbike in Vietnam just make sure you understand the road signs and you speak their language, I chose to walk since I love exploring. They have Jollibee in Vietnam, so if you miss Jollibee foods you can visit Jollibee Vietnam near War Remnants Museum.

I was in culture shock when I saw their price tags HAHAHA! the lowest price I encountered for 1 meal was 80,000 Vietnam Dong, and I found it funny yet amazing HAHAHA! It was a great and wonderful experience. I met local people and kapwa pinoys.
